Summary:
I must say it's not cliche when people say that this helmet is more comfortable
than a touque - it's totally true. It fits snug, with minimal movement. I
have a "round" head and facial features, and this helmet felt perfect from
day one... I did try a few on, but they were either too roomy, too tight,
had pressure points, ill-fitting straps or what not. This puppy felt A-1 from
the start.
I've skied in very cold weather and was grateful for it's wind coverage and
warm liner. I've also hiked Blackcomb's backside on a WARM day and it was
fairly decent - Outlast makes a big difference. Sure it got warm, but overall,
way better than any one I've previously tried. Trick in the warm stuff either
start with it on and LEAVE it on, or start with it off, then cool down, then
put it back on (otherwise the dampness does feel awfully cold when putting
it back on) but hey, accidents happen when hiking too, not just skiing, best
to leave that bucket on at all times!
Excellent price for the protection and cool colour options!
Strengths:
Light; super Comfortable; excellent venting; Outlast liner; great peripheral
visibility, cool design!
Weaknesses:
Still a weeeeee bit warm when hiking for the freshies, to be expected I suppose.
